The whole group together in Panama City. Most of us just met, and it was everyone’s passion for dance and giving back to the world that brought us together!
Month: June 2011
Choreography by Diguar and Iguandilli Sapi. Indigenous Kuna dance meets modern and even tipico. This joint choreography placed on the US and Panamanian dance volunteers will be performed at the theater as well! It’s not just the kids that get to dance.. It’s a true community arts event!
The girls only have a few days to learn a dance for the Movement Exchange performance at the National Theater. Looking good, chicas! Check out the 5 year old who is holding her own!
Here’s part of the group in front of the Panama City’s skyline.. and, another of our lunch at the Malambo Orphanage.
Here is Erick from Los Angeles teaching a group of over 40 kids at Panama’s National Dance School. He was one of the guest volunteer dance teacher for the day. Erick taught rumba and Ruben gave a hip hop/ breakdancing class earlier to the same group! The kids loved it!
